As most of you know, the Falcons recently competed against 25 of the Nation’s top-rated NJROTC units in their sixth bid to be the NJROTC National Champions.  The event took place in Pensacola, Florida on 17 and 18 April.  40 cadets spread over five athletic and four drill teams gave it their all in this highly prestigious event.  As a result, the Unit finished 4th overall in the nation, which is very impressive considering there are well over 600 units in this great country of ours!

Many of our teams did extremely well, placing in the top 5 positions.  These include:

Academic Team – 5th Place Overall

Curl-up Team – 3rd Place Overall

Push-up Team – 3rd Place Overall

8 x 220 Yard Relay – 2nd Place Overall

Drill Team Overall – 5th Place Overall

Color Guard – 4th Place Overall

Unarmed Platoon Exhibition – 5th Place Overall

As mentioned above, all of the cadets did extremely well. You can check out the results of the entire competition by clicking on the scores for the 2009 Navy National Chamionships link.

Finally, there are over 600 event photos have also been posted to look through for those interested booster club members, parents, cadets and instructors. Many of them came out really nice, and you can review them by checking out the photo page for the 2009 Navy National Championships. You will need to register (it's free) in order to see these results.

Again, congratulations to all our participants on a job well done!
