Upcoming Community Service Opportunities

Every Flanagan High School student is required by the Broward County School System to accumulate a minimum of 40 service hours in order to graduate. The NJROTC program regularly offers a number of events which Cadets have an opportunity to earn these hours. Parents and cadets should check this page regularly for opportunities to earn community service hours. Please click on each event to see more information about it.

Silver Shores Elementary School PTA "Family Fun Day"	The Silver Shores Elementary School PTA is looking for cadet volunteers to help at their annual "Family Fun Day" on Saturday, February 28th. They are requesting volunteers to help man game booths, rides and concession stands in addition to other help that might be needed during the event. Cadets will need to be there no later the 0945. Uniform is white Navy PT shirts, clean blue jeans with no holes/tears/rips and shoes (no flip-flops). The event will take place in the City Park immediately behind the school, which is located west of I-75, on the corner of Dykes Blvd and Pembroke Road.

2 June 2009 1730-2000	Class of 2009 Graduation	20 Cadets are needed to support Flanagan’s Class of 2009 graduation. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd. It will be at the Athletic Center, Nova Southeast University, located in Davie. See the link below for directions. Cadets will be required to have their own transportation to and from the event, and will be required to be in place no later than 1730. Uniform will be “salt and pepper” for this event, so if you sign up you will need to keep you uniform until then and return it no later than 5 June. Click here for info on where to be dropped off. You will need to be let off in the area marked "Handicapped, elderly, DROP OFF ONLY".
