Course Description

The purpose of this course is to teach students how to become effective leaders. Through a study in self-understanding and the development in goal setting, students will be able to study organizational theories and management and correctly model them as leaders of Charles W. Flanagan High School.  By the end of this program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Use problem solving and decision making techniques
  • Apply time management skills
  • Demonstrate effective public speaking skills
  • Work successfully in group settings
  • Implement proven public relations strategies
  • Use effective communication skills
  • Adjust to high levels of stress
  • Understand the principles for motivating others & promoting school spirit
