Early Admissions Early admission is another form of dual enrollment through which eligible students enroll in a college on a full-time basis during the last year of high school. Both high school and college credit will be awarded when attending colleges where an articulation agreement is in force. Early admission may take place at an accredited post-secondary institution where no agreement exists. Students must meet the following requirements to participate

Dual Enrollment High school students who meet program requirements may concurrently enroll in courses that are creditable toward a post-secondary certificate, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree at technical centers, Broward Community College and state universities that have entered into an articulation agreement with Broward County. Students must meet the following requirements: NOTE: Most three credit hour dual enrollment courses equate to one-half (.5) high school credit, but some three and four credit hour dual enrollment courses equate to one (1.0) high school credit. Credit in Escrow High school students who meet the rules and regulations may enroll in college coursework for which only college credit will be awarded to add depth and breadth to their academic program. This coursework cannot exceed 11 credits per term (term 1 & 2) and in any combination of the summer term III sessions (1,2,3) and not to exceed 6 credit hours in sessions 2 or 3 (6 week sessions). College credits earned under this program will be held in "escrow" by the participating college/university. Earned credit will not be reflected on the high school academic transcript and will not be used to satisfy high school diploma requirements. Under this program, students and their parents will be responsible for all appropriate college fees and textbooks. |
Advanced Placement Successful completion of the course and receipt of a qualifying score on the national AP exam will reqult in college credit credit or advanced placement in college courses at many colleges and universities. Flanagan High School offers the following AP classes: |
