WORLD GUARD
Keith Campbell - Instructor

Mr. Keith Campbell began his Band and Colorguard experience
at Miramar High School in 1995. He performed in "Lethal"-
which at the time was the prestigious colorguard of South
Florida- until he graduated in 96. Mr. Campbell auditioned for the Alliance of Miami
Colorguard for the 97 season and made the team but ended up not completing the
season. After taking a year off he decided to go for it once again and marched
Alliance 98 and 99. Mr. Campbell, not being completely satisfied with his 2 year
experience in the World Class finals in Dayton, Ohio then decided it would be best to
try something different. He auditioned for the new team on the block in the South
Florida circuit called Team Miami(now known as Braddock Independent). Needless to
say with his incredible talent he completed a year with Team Miami as an open class
finalist in 2000. Keith, felt that his days as a performer were done so he was asked to
be an instructor for Braddock Independent- he went on to help them get a medal in open
class and 3 time world class finalist in Independent World. His creative and artistic
choreography has also been seen with the Crossmen Drum And Bugle Corps 2001-02
and the Boston Crusaders 04. After taking a year break from both Winterguard and
Drum Corps he is HAPPY to be back at Flanagan High School!

Christine Nemeth
- Instructor
Christine Nemeth grew up in Ohio and Florida, where she
graduated from Plantation High School. From there, her
educational career continues at Northwestern University,
home of the “Best Band in the Land.” As a member of the Marching Wildcat Band,
she grew to love color guard and the hard work that goes with it. At the end of her
final marching season, NUMB was awarded the Sudler Trophy for college bands in
1992. With a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern, she returned
to Florida, and later began teaching Earth/Space Science at Flanagan High School.
She fell into working with the Flanagan Color Guard soon after this, and has been
blissfully happy ever since.

in South Florida. Caroline began her color guard career in
2001 at Flanagan, and graduated in 2005. There she became
one of the captains of the World guard her senior year. Once she left high school,
she still had that hunger for performance, and knew that her color guard career was
not over yet. Therefore she decided to explore the world of Drum Corps. Caroline
began her Drum Corps career with the Cadets in 2006, and ended with The Blue Devils
in 2007. Now she is back where she began and is eager to pass along her love for this
activity to the students who are lucky enough to go for it. Caroline is currently
attending Florida International University where she is working towards her Bachelors
Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

A GUARD
Amy Naused
- Instructor
Amy Naused was born in Miami, Florida. Amy has been
familiar with color guard since she was a child as her mom
was and aunt (Debbie and Patrisha Holt) were both former
drum corps alumni. Her mom and Aunt were both significant parts of the North Miami
Beach Charger Band and guard. Her mom was musician/drum major/guard member,
and her aunt was a rifle. They then marched the Florida Vanguard and the Silhouettes
where her mom received a patch for drum corps championships in Ithaca, NY in 1974.
Intrigued by the patch, Amy started asking questions and learning about Drum Corps
and Color guard. She learned to spin from her aunt though she wasnt able to march yet.
Until she finally got the opprtunity to spin in high school, she participated in gymanastics,
cheerleading, dance, swimming, soccer, and karate. Amy began her color guard
marching experience at Flanagan High School in 1999, where she learned to spin
weapon by her first winter season. She performed at Flanagan until she graduated in
2002 in open class with the show "Patchwork Quilt." In 2003, Amy marched with the
Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps the year they placed tenth in Division I Finals,
in their show "Silver Voices." That winter, she performed with FIU's winterguard, in their
inaugeral season, with the show entitled "Vertigo." The same year she also took a
teaching position at Hialeah Miami Lakes, but decided not to continue teaching the
following year, due to her marching commitments. In the summer of 2004, Amy
auditioned for the Boston Crusaders Color guard and performed in the show "The
Composition of Color," where the corps place 9th in Finals. She fell in love with the
history and passion of the crusaders and remained a member until she aged out in the
2006 show "Cathedrals of the mind." In 2005 she had a short stint with the UM color
guard but didnt finish the season. That winter she marched with the Braddock
Independent World guard and was a WGI world class finalist in their show entitled
"So..." Following her age out in 2006 with the Boston Crusaders Amy took on a position
at Western High School as the guard director, where she has been for the last 3 years.
Amy is very excited to start working with the JV guard at Flanagan this winter, and
can't wait to see what the future holds!
