Parents, this VIEWER is meant to be a tool for communication and not an absolute "etched in stone" grade or attendance report.

If you have any questions regarding grades or attendance, please call the teacher FIRST! They are the first contact regarding what is in the gradebook.

If you called in to excuse an absence, it may not show up on the Pinnacle Viewer for up to 3 days. Please be patient and check back before becoming alarmed.

Some "School Attendance" codes are considered as "ABSENT" -

FT (Field Trip)
SOE (Signed Out Excused)
SIU ( Signed In Unexcused)
SIE ( Signed in Excused)

Please do not be alarmed by these codes - the Pinnacle System reports all attendance codes as absences.

Rest assured that the student is not actually counted "Absent" unless you see the ABSENT UNEXCUSED (AU) or ABSENT EXCUSED (AE) Code next to the date and period of day.

Grades:

Our teachers have just begun using this program - They will grade student work and record it in PINNACLE. Please understand that there are many factors involved in recording student grades - We appreciate your patience while our teachers become familiar with this new program.

To access the information, you will need:
The Student ID is also known as the student number (this number is printed on the student's schedule and starts with 06) This is not the student's social security number - Please check your student's schedule to find out the correct Student ID number.

The Pin Code is the student's date of birth - this will be typed as year, month, day (four digits for year two digits for month two digits for day - no spaces, slashes, dashes, or commas) - for example, if the student's birthday is March 5, 1982, it would be typed in as 19820305.

Make sure that you choose Flanagan High School from the drop down menu.
As you access the information, you will notice several things:

1. The student is not identified by name on the screen or reports (this is for privacy protection)
2. You can access different reports, including missing assignments, class grades, and discipline reports.

Please note that the "Quarter Grade" does not include any Final Exams that are given at the end of the marking period. The county calculates the final grade for the semester and this grade is reported on the student's report card.
