FINE ARTS

Flanagan High is a Pathway school, which means a “ school within a school.” Students are given the opportunity to select a Pathway that is directly related to the career field that they are interested in pursuing upon completing their graduation requirements.

The Engineering, Physical Science and Technology Pathway is one of the smaller pathways in comparison to others, yet it offers a variety of challenging courses to prepare students pursuing careers in that field.

Students are not only expected to enroll in Aerospace Technology, Computer Programming or Drafting, but they are required to take core academic courses which include Social Studies, Mathematics, Language Arts, and Science.

Students are also required to take elective courses as a prerequisite to earning a high school diploma. FINE ARTS provide a variety of courses that enhances the students’ communication skills, attention to detail, and appreciation of culture.

FINE ARTS courses help students fine-tune their inherent ability to create. It fosters an appreciation for detail and critical analyses, which are valuable attributes for students pursuing engineering careers.
