DRESS CODE FOR EATING

IN THE GENERAL MESS

ABOARD NAS PENSACOLA

 

NOTE:  Dress code applies to everyone including Chaperones

 

1.      SNSIs, NSIs, and NJROTC cadets must be in uniform.

 

2.      Uniforms must be clean and properly worn.  Military personnel haircuts must be in compliance with regulations.

 

3.      Shower shoes (“flip flops”) are NOT permitted; sandals are authorized but socks must be worn with all types of footwear.

 

4.      Pants will not have holes, frays, or tears.  Overall straps must be attached over the shoulder.

 

5.      Shorts will not have frays or tears; cut-offs, swim trunks and boxers are NOT permitted.

 

6.      Shirts must completely cover the mid-section and shoulders.  Tank tops, half-shirts, sleeveless shirts, or mesh style shirts are NOT permitted.

 

7.      Shirts with shirttails must be tucked in.

 

8.      No plain white T-shirts with printed profanity or racial remarks.

 

9.      Absolutely NO P.T. Gear (running shorts, warm-up suites, etc.)

 

10.  No headbands, scarves or ball caps.

 

11.  Head phones for I-Pods and other like devices must be removed before entering.

 

12.  No coveralls.

 

13.  Male personnel may NOT wear earrings.

 

14.  Dresses must have sleeves.  Strapless dresses, or spaghetti style straps are NOT permitted.

 

15.  The General Mess civilian cashiers are the Master-at-Arms and have the same jurisdiction as if they were military.  Please treat them with respect.
