Weekly Agendas – All students are responsible for the information presented here.

 

·       All students must do a five minute oral presentation on an educational topic of their choice beginning on week 7.

·       All students must complete a research paper during the second nine weeks.

 

9th Grade

 

Week 1:  Vocabulary Unit 1; expository essay #1; Begin Romeo and Juliet/

          Comprehension exercises; Sustained Silent Reading; 3 Written Journals

Week 2:  Finish assigned journals; group essay #2 – persuasive; grammar quiz on

common usage problems; Act I Romeo and Juliet quiz; Sustained Silent

Reading; Vocabulary test #1

Week 3:  Act II quiz on Romeo and Juliet; introduce new grammar unit on

          punctuation; essay 3: expository; sustained silent reading

Week 4:  New Vocabulary words; quiz and class activity on Act III; quiz on

          Punctuation; Group essay #4; Journals due Fri.; Vocabulary Test #2

Week 5:  Benchmark Testing on Monday and Tuesday; Act IV quiz (Weds); Final
